As United Methodists, we know that we support an itinerant ministry of pastors, but it is with heavy hearts that we must say good bye to Pastor Vathanak Heang and his family. Bishop Carcaño has appointed Pastor Vathanak Heang to serve Buena Vista UMC in Alameda CA effective July 1, 2024. Pastor Vathanak has served Memorial for 3 years.
Our June 23rd service will be a special combined service followed by a farewell pot luck luncheon for Pastor Vathanak. This will be his last Sunday at Memorial.
We welcome Rev. Falamao Samate who will come to us on July 1st from Tehachapi Valley United Methodist Church.
