This year’s walk will be on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15, hosted by the Big Red Church (First Congregational Church of Fresno) 2131 N. Van Ness Blvd. GATHER AT 9:30 AM AND WALK AT 10:00 AM.
25% of donations will go to the CENTRAL VALLEY COMMUNITY FOOD BANK for local needs and 75% will be used by Church World Service for domestic and international DISASTER RELIEF, HUNGER RELIEF, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
This includes: tornado and hurricane relief and recovery in Kentucky and Florida; hunger and refugee aid in Afghanistan and Ukraine; expanding immigrant, refugee, and unaccompanied minor asylum seekers services in California.
The CROP Hunger Walk is a nationwide movement sponsored by Church World Service to raise funds to end hunger and poverty in the U.S. and around the world. Hundreds of religious groups, businesses, schools and others organize local Walk events in their communities each year, while others join the National Walk and choose their own location and experience.
