This is not a bug in the mixer. Happens when recalling Fader and pot positions. The simple solution is to press RELEASE or any SELECT button after recall.
After you press "Recall" to recall a scene, the mixer won't work. You must push any "Select" button and then the mixer will work.
PreSonus reps are working on this problem and it should be fixed soon.
The new PreSonus mixer will be installed on Monday, September 27th and a training session will be held that evening at 6:30 PM. ALL sound techs are urged to attend. The mixer will be a big change and some changes will be made to the sound system.

We are going to shoot for either Monday, Sept 27th or Tuesday, Sept 28th evening for training on the new mixer. There will be only one training session. We will be using the mixer after the training session. I will try to contact everyone to see if either of those dates is ok.

I will be trying to contact all sound operators from all congregations at the Memorial campus for training on the new mixer. I'd like to schedule the training on a Monday or a Tuesday. in September or October. If you are a sound operator, please be aware of this. It would help if you could contact me with the best dates for you.
Thanks.

The PreSonus Studio Live mixer and associated components have been ordered. The mixer will be installed in the latter half of August. An additional snake may be installed before that. There will be a training session for ALL sound techs. It will be extremely helpful if Sound Techs reviewed the sound training CDs that have been distributed.
A new, prototype, riser platform has been installed for the sound system. The purpose is to help the sound operator and eventually the video operator see over the congregation better.
This prototype is to help with the design of larger and nicer platform with built in console for both the Sound system and video systems. We want to see if any changes are needed in the design. eg: higher? lower? narrower? wider? etc, or no riser at all.
The floor surface of the final platform will be covered with carpet and will probably have walls.

We will have a demonstration of the PreSonus StudioLive digital mixer by the factory rep on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the afternoon at the church. Exact time is not set. Stay tuned. This demo is for Memorial UMC, Christ UMC, and Fresno Korean UMC who all use the system.
Also being planned is the construction of a completely new, raised console system for both the audio and video presentation equipment.
-Ron Zastovnik, Memorial UMC.
Memorial is considering the purchase of a new Presonus digital mixer. The major need that the mixer will fill is to be able to save separate mixer settings for each of the services at the Memorial campus. Also more inputs, built in recording and many other features would be very useful.
Since the mixer is too big for our existing cabinet, a new cabinet will need to be built. Along with that, the construction of a raised, platform is being considered.
Funding for these needed improvements to support growing ministries is the main concern.
The wireless mic #3 failed at our 11 am service after working fine at our 9:30 service. I think we had a strong signal come on the mic frequency. I changed the frequency of the mic and hopefully it won't happen again.
In case anyone is concerned, our wireless mics do not operate on the now restricted 700 mHz band.
We are experiencing problems with the preview video switcher. The right monitor on the computer desk and the back screen is connected to this switcher.
To get the back screen working, I connected it to the projector switcher with the front screens. So a separate image cannot be displayed right now.
On Saturday night, Oct 3, it would not work at all. I managed to get working after a lot of work. It flickerd a while. Then it got a stable image on the computer desk monitor.
I don't know if it will remain stable, so I left the back screen connected with the front. If it is stable, I'll restore the connections back to original.
After putting in a new bulb, we found out that the bulb cooling fan in the projector has failed. So the projector will not work. We hope to get it repaired under warranty.
The stage left projector bulb exploded. We think the projector is OK, but need to get the replacement bulb to be sure. The bulb costs about $350. Memorial currently does not have the funds to buy the bulb.

We now have a replacement wireless body pack for the one that has been missing. We also have a microphone as a replacement and upgrade. Since that microphone alone costs $325, and is delicate, it must be checked out from me to be used. The replacement wireless body pack will work with the lapel microphone that we still have.

Connector #12 from the snake is a line output for a drum monitor. We have had success feeding that output to the large guitar amp for a monitor for the drummer. Any guitar amp would work.
